I needed a solution for all of my documents that never seemed to get organized. The IRIScan Express is such a great tool to use in my office. Instead of some bulky scanner, I use this now to scan all my papers (even business cards!). I just recently took it on a business trip and it saved me from a mess of cards and documents. Portability is the key purpose for the sleek compact document scanner. The scanning speed is slow in comparison to desktop scanners, but thats to be expected! The image quality is excellent and the bundled software that comes with this scanner (ReadIRIS Pro 11/ CardIRIS) is incredible. This software has enabled me to go paperless when it comes to my filing for personal and business paperwork. It enables me to scan in bills, documents, etc. and convert them into searchable PDF files. NO MORE PAPER! I really liked this petit scanner. It can scan all my papers and a good quality image that one may need for sending official docs. It can even scan business cards and softwares provided with it is really efficient to organise things. I have been using this for past 3 months without any complaints and liking it every time I run it. No external power required, just install the drivers and softwares that come along with it and its ready to use. Good Stuff! Was this review helpful?

Setup was easy, software cleans up images nicely (de-skewing effectively cleans up crooked images, which are sometimes hard to avoid). The small size makes it easy to use for travel, and the OCR has worked without any problems.

I am truly amazed at the load this guy carries. It has the same savvy of larger and more expensive scanners, but without the weight and baggage. i am enjoying myself trying to find something it doesnt do that the big boys do,Im still looking. I bought this product about 3 weeks ago and have found it very easy to use. After set up, which was a simple process, I just plug it in to my usb port on my laptop, place paper into the slot and push start button. Then save it to file. The only complaint I have is it is a little slow, but that is OK since I watch TV while filing anyway. It is great for keeping a record of your statements, receipts, etc. instead of paper filing...
