5 of 5 Great Product from Buy.com and no Apple Store pric Monday, August 18, 2008
    Carollynn from Kansas City, MO

I've had this for a month and love it. I use my iPhone to listen to audiobooks to and from work and have had clear, consistent reception with no problems whatsoever. And, contrary to what Apple says, you can still receive phone calls while connected to the device.

5 of 5 So Far So Good Tuesday, June 17, 2008
    Kim from Tampa, FL
I have only had this for a day, but so far so good. The sound is a good quality and the ease of using the product is great! It tightly fits into my IPod so I'm not concerned about it falling out. I had it tuned to 88.1 and the sound was great for most of my 40 minute trip to and from work.

4 of 5 Did what it was supposed to, minimum problems. Thursday, June 12, 2008
A Customer from San Francisco, CA
I used this transmitter driving across country to San Francisco, and now in the city. It performed just as it was supposed to, giving a clear signal most of the time. When it didn't, all I had to do was find a frequency with no radio station and turn the iTrip to that, pretty easy. In the city, an open station was harder to find, but overall, it is a good product, and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

    4 of 5 I like this one Monday, June 09, 2008
    ilovewing03 from Pittsburgh, PA
I like it, easy to use, and the quality is good. But however, I live in city so I need to search for a empty frequency sometimes, and sometimes the quality of sound becomes bad when I drove through different areas.....However, most of time it works great.

    3 of 5 Static!! Sunday, April 13, 2008
    Karen from California
So, I skimmed through a bunch of the FM transmitters available on Buy.com and decided that this was probably the best choice for a reasonable price. Based on the reviews, I expected some static, but half the time I use the thing, the static totally overcomes the music. It's a pretty decent piece for those on a smaller budget. However, I don't think I will recommend this product for anyone nor will I be purchasing the same one when it needs to be replaced.

4 of 5 Decent performance for the price. Friday, September 28, 2007
    H.Tower from San Diego, TX
I've been using this thing for about a year now. The sound quality is actually not too bad. It's no where near as good as a direct connect via an Aux port or tape deck, but it's as good as you're going to get without modification. However, as you get into the bigger cities you'll run into more interference and it'll be harder to get a free station - it's a problem, but virtually all FM transmitters at this price range suffer from it. I'd say it's a tad better than most. Another problem is the fact that after using mine for so long, the wiring on the inside seems to be frayed as I hear glitchy sounds when i move the cable around - so beware if you're intending on using this cable often (I use it almost every day). All in all, for the price I'd say it's a pretty good buy.

    5 of 5 Totally Impressed! Monday, September 25, 2006
    Jason J from Orange, CA
I have to admit, I bought this thing because it was cheap and easy. I didn't want to buy a direct connect link for my iPod for like $200, dismantle my dashboard and head unit to pull it out, etc. I knew I was suffering sound quality, but what the heck. My sister had the first geneartion FM unit and it was staticky all the time. Imagine my surprise when I plugged this thing in and it sounded GREAT! I am shocked, I have absolutely no static with this thing, suffer very minimum sound quality loss, and it is EASY! For the price, you cannot beat this thing and will not be dissapointed!

5 of 5 Great product for the price in Buy.com Wednesday, September 20, 2006
A Customer from Hoffman Estates, IL
Buy.com is the greatest online store I had even encounter. Price is always cheap, and there is a monthly coupon to appreciate customer. This product is very easy to use, just plug it in and you have your IPOD music blasting in your mobile!! However there is static around downtown area, but what do you want for a FM transmitter to do, some static is expected, and i am very very happy with the product.

5 of 5 Works great with my nano Tuesday, September 12, 2006
A Customer from Kansas City, MO
I bought the itrip auto from this site and it works great. I like being able to change the radio channels on the device to match the station that works best for me. I also like the design because my AC outlet is in a strange position so a fm trasmitter that was in a fixed position would not work in my car. The only trouble I had with this device is it would not broadcast my nano after the 1st time I used it. I read some troubleshooting tips and figured out that I needed to reset my nano. Since then it was worked great.

A Customer from glen gardner, nj
I've owned the iTrip, the iTrip LCD, the 5g iTrip, and now the iTrip auto.. this one is AMAZING!!! it blocks out full broadcast stations leaving only a little static. with an empty station the quality is unbelievable! this is the best FM transmitter for cars for the money... get it.

5 of 5 Pretty Good for the Price Saturday, September 09, 2006
    ZP from Valley View, TX
I purchased this shortly after buying my iPod, and it has been an essential part of my iPod experience. Since I don't have a cassette player in my car, I had to go for a FM transmitter instead of a cassette adapter. Cassette adapters usually deliver much better sound quality, but the iTrip Auto comes pretty darn close. It works great in our Hyundai Elantra, Toyota 4Runner, and Toyota T100. It's simple to set up and also charges your iPod while listening; a feature that's great on long road trips. The audio quality can range from brilliant to horrendous depending on interference from the big radio stations. In the Denton, TX area, I've found that 92.3 works suprisingly well. Overall, I highly recommend this product to any frequent iPod user. I also recommend the Griffin iSqueez to go with it!

    5 of 5 good value & works well Monday, July 17, 2006
    chris from seattle, WA
I bought one for my work truck and have been very happy with it. I looked at getting the Monster iCar Play Plus, but this one has the same features at 1/2 the cost. I've used it in several vehicles and have only had static issues in one of them - so I wouldn't blame the charger/FM transmitter for the static. The vehicle that had the issue was an older Jeep Cherokee and it didn't have a great radio OR antenna. For the previous user that had static, try troubleshooting the radio's antenna. I've recommended the iTrip to my cousins and they're going to order some for their iPods.

5 of 5 Great for cars... Monday, June 26, 2006
    A Customer from Twin Cities
This itrip is great for cars, stronger signal than one of the other itrips or the other copies. The one bad thing is you have to have it plugged into the cig lighter for it to work. Now it would be helpful if it could work when unplugged (of course it works best for the car) when you are camping or traveling. Still couldn't live without it. Thanks Griffin and Buy.com

4 of 5 GREAT FOR THE PRICE Thursday, June 15, 2006
    monique from San Antonio, Texas
I have had this product for over a week and there has been no problems with static. I have a Toyota Solara. The only thing i had to do was plug it into my car... i didn't even have to mess with any transmitter stations other than the one on my radio FM frequency. Great sound quality... well as good as it can get from being downloaded to an ipod... perfect size and color for the car.

2 of 5 nice design, lousy reception Wednesday, May 10, 2006
    A Customer from Philadelphia, PA
I bought the iTrip cable to replace my Macally transmitter/ charger, which I broke while trying to dislodge from the cigarette lighter socket in my car. The Griffin is a much more streamlined, portable design, which is a big plus. The interface is simple to use. The problem is, the reception stinks. I used to park my Macally at one frequency that would work fine, no interference, all the way from Philadelphia up the NJ Turnpike and even into NY state, CT, and VT. Not the iTrip. I get static on every frequency, and stations cut out randomly every so often. I spend more time playing with the radio to find an empty frequency than I spend actually listening to music. Plus every time you jostle the transmitter, or hit a bump, you hear static. Even though I liked the design of the Griffin better, I'm going to have to buy another Macally.
