Great accessory. Only reason I gave it a 4 on overall satisfaction is that I believe they should have added a USB adapter to allow for PC sync. That would have been the icing on the cake. Works great with my iPhone 3G and 30GB video iPod. As a side note, if you have a protective skin cover for your iPhone, you don't need to use one of the included adapters. We have 2 iPhones (original) and we were always fighting for the charge cable from Apple. This charging station is simple, well built and does exactly as it says. It doesn't sync, but that's not what we wanted. One caveat, however, while it does come with a number of dock adapters, it only comes with one of each so you may not have enough dock adapters if you have 2 of the same iPod/iPhone, etc. For us, we needed 2 of the #10 adapter to get the proper fit for our iPhones.
I called Griffin to request another one, fully anticipating to pay a stiff price for it only to be pleasantly surprised when the tech support guy just sent me one for free. Awesome product, awesome customer support.

This won't sync your iPod but it'll keep you iPod totally charged for when you walk out the door. My daughter and I just love it. We keep it near the front door and grab our iPods when we leave. Especially our iPod touches which drain readily when wifi is turned on need to be topped off regularly.
My only negative comment is that Griffin only supplies one insert per iPod type and obviously it's possible to have two of the same, as we do. They do supply one of each and that's actually quite a few but to be complete they need to supply two.
If your expectations are for a double charger that does a great job then you'll love this product ... and it looks great too. We heartily recommend it. Was this review helpful?

Works great. No complaints. If you have a case on your device it may not fit in the prescribed insert, but pretty much anything will fit if you use NO insert... which is an option... don't know if they support that or not but it works great. Our family is constantly plugging something or another into or out of it. :) Was this review helpful?

This thing looks nice on the desk next to an aluminum iMac, and charges any combo of 2 iPhones (including 3G), ipod nano, or ipod classic. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it doesn't sync. It would be nice if, say, the first doc, could be (optionally) connected via a parallel USB cable to the computer, so it could sync, as well as charge. Else it's a good product (most Griffin stuff seems to be good, IMO). Was this review helpful?

I purchased a pair of used original iPhones from someone who upgraded to 3G. I wanted a charging dock to put in the kitchen but the Apple docks sell for $50 each! I didn't need computer connectivity through it, just a basic charger, and this Griffin PowerDock 2 works perfectly. The only negative I can think of is that it is difficult to read the identifying labels of the inserts for the various iPod/phone models, but that is a small complaint and no reason to avoid buying this. If you need computer connectivity, this is NOT for you -- it is simply a charger only. Was this review helpful?

This 2 station charger is just perfect for me. I can now "dock" my iPhone right where I leave my wallet, keys, etc. and not have to charge it at my computer. Price was great and GRIFFIN folks were fantastic when I called them.

This device works great, but does not come with the proper adapter for iPhone 3G. Since it has iPod Universal Docks you can purchase the proper adapter at the Apple Store. As some have stated, you can use it as is either without an adapter at all or with one of the included ones that is oversize. In either case the connector is bearing the weight of the phone with no support and could easily break. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this as a nightstand charger for both my iphone (8G original) and ipod classic. It charges both at the same time effortlessly and efficiently. I've noticed that my iphone charges in half the time it used to and I don't have to pick the phone up off of the nightstand to check anything on it. While in the Griffin Charging Dock, I can use all functions of my phone without removing it. If my alarm clock goes off on my phone, I can disable it without picking it up and that's a great thing! A big plus to me is the look of the charger. It is brushed metal and looks great with any decor. I will be purchasing a new one for my husband soon because I don't want to share! I keep this by the front door for charing the iPod. It's nicer than finding the dock plug or plugging the iPhone into the computer each night. I can not use the insert's since I have the iPhone in a case, but it does work fine without any of the provided inserts. Was this review helpful?

Ordered one of these and it works great with iPhone 3G. I have two of them.
Note there is no audio out on the back.
Price is great since one dock costs $30 from Apple.
I did not use the dock insert and carefully placing the iPhone 3G on the dock connector seems to work fine. Was this review helpful?
