Do you want to receive true 1080I programming, not available on cable or satellite? With over 1,000 stations in more than 200 markets broadcasting digital television, nine out of ten households can now receive free HDTV signals with the right antenna, a set-top box and a high-definition television. Most of the antennas available today are large and unwieldy and need to be mounted outdoors or in a cramped attic. This is not an option if you live in an apartment or condo, or if you dont want the hassle of installing an antenna yourself. The solution is a quality indoor antenna, which can pick up all local HDTV channels; one that will look great next to your television and one that is easy to install.

How is the HDTVI unique from other HDTV indoor antennas? The TERK HDTVi is the only indoor HDTV antenna optimized for both UHF and VHF reception (channels 2-69). The HDTVi elegantly solves the aesthetic challenge of integrating a log-periodic type element assembly into an indoor antenna. It is tuned for optimum HDTV reception with a unique design that utilizes log-periodic elements and dipoles for receiving both UHF and VHF HDTV broadcasts, allowing you to receive more stations. Its high gain picks up farther stations and its high back-to-front ratio rejects unwanted signals. The UHF antenna element can even be mounted vertically or horizontally to aid in better reception.

4 of 5 It works 95% of the time, better than 45% of the t Wednesday, August 27, 2008
patherndon from Memphis, Tennessee

I was skeptical because I live in a heavily tree area and the location of my tv is blocked by a pre fab metal walled fireplace and directly above it in the attic, is the heating/air unit with metal duct work. There is no other place to put the tv. I hooked this antenna up and it works 95% of the time. I get all the channels clearly late in the afternoon, evenings, and early mornings, that plain and simple. Far superior than the RCA and Radio Shack rabbit ears I had. If I opted to pay Cable or Direct tv then I would have the channels all the time. I will not pay to have access to tv for the limited time I watch it.

3 of 5 HD Antenna falls short of perfect Monday, August 25, 2008
Robyn from Los Angeles, California
This antenna works better than my old rabbit ears. When it works well, the picture is very clear. However, in an area where reception is blocked by many buildings, I get a lot more failures than before HDTV was stuffed down my throat. With the old way, I got snow but I could still watch programs. With a converter box and my old rabbit ears, some stations didn't come in at all. With this antenna, they're coming in but several times in an hour show part of the screen will just turn into pixels like a jigsaw puzzle. It's usually not random but annoyingly specific, such as the entire image of a person in the middle of the screen - with all the surrounding area clear. Ocassionally the entire screen just goes blank with a friendly message of "WEAK SIGNAL". I don't think you can really blame it on the antenna. It's just the fact of life of HDTV. If TV is really important to you, then forget about an antenna especially if you are in a difficult reception area. Spring for cable or some other pay system. It will save a lot of cursing when the picture disappears just when the plot that you've been biting your nails over is resolved.

5 of 5 Worked a lot better than some rabbit ears Friday, August 15, 2008
Bill from Summerville South Carolina
Antennaweb.org lists my digital stations being 24.5 miles away. I was only getting one digital channel before. I had some RCA amplified rabbit ears (vhf/uhf) hooked up to a digital converter box. The reviews for this antenna looked good and the price was just a bit above twenty bucks and change. The TERK HDTVi antenna brought in all the stations nice and clear. I'm getting 76-100 signal strength on the various stations. This is in the back bedroom of a one story house. I am very satisfied with the product.

4 of 5 Works fine Wednesday, June 25, 2008
A Customer from Chicago
Works as advetised, but not better than a regular powered rabbit ear antenna. If you have a powered rabbit ear antenna, than there is no reason to change it, it will be the same.

3 of 5 It's not the antenna so much as where I'm located Wednesday, June 18, 2008
Buy.com customer from Fairfax, VA
This is my first indoor antenna. I get a strong signal (according to Windows Media Center) from all the local HD OTA channels - NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, MYNetwork, CW and a slew of PBS channels. The reception on all the channels that have a strong signal cuts in and out or hangs for a a few seconds. This happens on a consistent basis. I don't know if that's because of location or the antenna. I live on the top (4th) floor of my condo building and the antenna is pointed out the window. There are tall trees and buildings within a few blocks of my home. I would recommend trying out the antenna and see if you are satisfied with the results.

4 of 5 Pleasant Suprise Saturday, June 14, 2008
Ren from Houston, TX
I was about to take a cable connection, then thought of giving HDTV atenna a try. I am getting most of the good channels I wanted. The key is direction of the anteena, slightest change makes a lot of difference in reception, you've to get it right. Initially I got very few channnels, then day by day with adjustments to direction I got quality channels. Heard you've to be atleast 15-20 miles near to the broadcasting tower, Iam in Hoston,TX. Give it a try.. its worth the money, that too a one time investment.... no monthly charges.

5 of 5 Great site... Friday, March 14, 2008
A Customer from Queens NY
I normally dont write reviews but i hope this will be of useful information for others. I am in Queens,NY and this antenna didnt do a thing for me i dont no if its defective or anything but the antenna website did help and i didnt check that website before purchasing this item but the web recommended from the antenna website which was the bow tie antenna works for me. I was able to pull a few HD channels very clearly but i just have to adjust the antenna for the channels but at least it was able to pull them in clearly so i was happy with just a few clear channels. :-) anyway the bow tie is a TERK product too and buy.com and the merchant who shipped this didnt give me any problems with refunding my purchase. BUY is a great website even if this antenna didnt work for me. Happy searching....i hope this info can help others who r looking for antennas.

5 of 5 Works great! Monday, January 28, 2008
Holly from Midlothian, TX
This was highly recommended on the Buy.com website. It performs very well. Once in a while we see a little glitch in the picture on a couple of stations, but it's only for a second. We can enjoy ALL the football games on ALL the stations, now! Also, it fits in with a modern decorating scheme.

5 of 5 great item Monday, December 17, 2007
schleapf from chicago, il
i bought this antenna not too long ago, and it works great. i can't say absolutely anything bad about it. the signal is good, even if i live in a basement. and it's not amplified. the only way i could get a signal like this was with an ampllified antenna, but this one is even better, and it works with HD channels witch is very important to me.

5 of 5 Does what it says Friday, December 07, 2007
A Customer from Richardson, TX
We are about 35 mi from the towers and, even at this distance, we're able to pick up just about everything in the area, including the major networks. The picture and sound quality are great! Best antenna we've ever owned. Very easy to set up.

4 of 5 A good indoor antenna Friday, November 30, 2007
Earl from San Diego, California
This antenna is better than other powered indoor antenna. However, I could not get any of the high def channel over the air. There are at least two channels that I know should be clear. Otherwise, this device works fine.

5 of 5 Great Antenna, easy set up. Tuesday, November 27, 2007
A Customer from DFW metroplex, Texas
You could spend $100 and not have a better antenna. Easy to set up behind your TV. I have a 46" Sony Bravia and have this antenna sitting right behind my TV. I live between 15 to 25 miles from the Tower sites in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It took a few trys to get the direction right for the antenna to point, but once that was figured out the picture has been great for the last 2 months. Check your distances to the transmitting towers and if within 25 miles then this antenna is great. A longer distance and you may need an outdoor antenna.

5 of 5 Great performance at an affordable price Tuesday, November 27, 2007
Stan from Champaign, IL
I have this antenna in my office on the 5th floor. I can pick up stations 70 miles away with this thing, it's amazing! Before putting up an outdoor antenna, give this one a try.

5 of 5 Stop Paying for Hi-Def via Cable/Satellite Monday, November 19, 2007
A Customer from Columbus, OH
I live about 20 miles out from most of the transmitters in my area. Analogs come in great, and that was before I got my HDTV. Digitals are excellent. I can pick up the digital version of channels that I barely pick up the analogs of. Be sure to visit http://antennaweb.org to find the channels in your area you are missing. Easy set up, relatively small footprint, and not as likely to get hit by lightning (unless you put it outside, which you should not).

5 of 5 Awesome, gets everything Wednesday, September 26, 2007
Mike from New York City, NY (UWS)
I initially bought a radioshack antenna for slightly more than this Terk even with buy.com shipping. It was terrible, I got like 2 channels. With this Terk HDTVi I get everything with relatively minimal position/direction adjustments. It's completely awesome. Absolutely recommend it.

5 of 5 Superior guality picture. Friday, September 21, 2007
Cody from Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex
If you live in a major metroplex or close to the towers in your area then this is the HDTV antenna you need. There is no need for a more expensive antenna. There is no outside installation and it's simple to install. I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, 15 miles from the towers in the area according to the antenna tower location web site. I set this antenna up on the cabinet behind my TV pointed it in the right direction, set the TV up and it's a great picture. Took about 15 minutes. We now have 30 channels where we use to have 16 and every channel a great picture, which is what your after right. We do not have cable or satellite, but now we have a 46" LCD with a great picture. Buy.com had this for a great price and I received the antenna in 4 days with UPS Ground shipping cost.
