3 of 5 Ok Sound, great comfort, but bad for workouts Wednesday, October 01, 2008 A Customer from seattle, wa
PRO:
Earphone looks great and just fits nicely in your ears.
Sound is just ok, but not like a premium earbuds (hey...it's only $18 after all)...wish it has more bass effect on it. But else, sound is pretty crisp and clear. Earbuds also insulates noises.
CONS:
1 feature that I don't really like is the extended cable. If you don't use it, the cable is too short, but if you use it, the cable gets too long. Not a big deal unless if you use it for running / working out. Cable keeps on swinging like crazy if you use it for running due to the extra weight from the headphone jack on the extension cable, and it will keep on pulling the earphones out of your ears. 4 of 5 good fit / stays put Tuesday, September 16, 2008 A Customer from phoenix, az
These are the first ear buds that actually stay in my ears. It comes with 3 interchangeable "pads" of varying sizes. These should fit snugly in most everyone's' ears. The sound quality is ok. I need to use the built in equalizer on my rio forge to make up for a lack of range. If you can find these for a good price they are an excellent workout accessory. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Finally, a Headset that Fits Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Jim from Fort Worth TX
I started using an Ipod Nano this year and although the sound was fine, I never liked the earbuds I got with it. I find they don't fit real well and after awhile the flimsy, replaceable cover deteriorates. I bought another set on Buy.com, and it performed about the same. I had pretty much given up when I decided to try the Tritton TRI-XB100. Boy, am I glad I did.
They are a quality earphone from the replaceable ear bud cups to the electronics (including the gold connectors). They came with 3 different sized ear buds. It was easy to attach them to the earphone and even easier to find a size that fits. They are a nice, flexible rubber cone that fit nicely inside the ear. The earphones form a tight fit without pressing on the inner ear. One of the benefits is they won't fall out like the OEM style. But the best thing is the sound. With such a nice fit, outside noise is practically non-existent and I can set the volume way down and hear recordings perfectly, or boost the volume and get dramatic, faithful sound reproduction.
My advice to you, is at the price I paid on Buy.com, don't wait to improve your listening enjoyment and comfort! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Ok Sound, Ok Fit Tuesday, September 16, 2008 A Customer from Chicago, IL
These headphones are pretty mediocre, but then again I only paid $18 for them because they were super discounted one day. Bonuses: cord doesn't tangle easily, left and right cords are the same length (if that sort of thing is important to you). I would not recommend spending more than $20 as they fall out easily and the sound quality is ok. My favorite pair of cheap headphones so far are the Phillips she 9500 to give you an idea of my tastes. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 For $20 you can't beat them Monday, September 15, 2008 Kiran from Florida
This is the first set of ear buds that I've bought, besides the ones that came with a couple iPods and the like. They seal inside the ear perfectly, blocking out most noise. The bass is good, though I had hoped for a touch more. Any touch/tapping on the wire transmits right into the ear, so I can't see jogging/exercising with these. I don't know if this is normal for this sort of ear bud. They sound great otherwise. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for the price Monday, September 15, 2008 GMurder from Fairfax, VA
I purchased these because they were on sale and I needed to replace my stock headphones. They look cool, fit well, and sound great. I turned on my ipod with stock headphones, then swapped for these. These sounded louder and crisper than stock and they didn't cost a lot so definately a worthwhile purchase for me. I'm not usually too keen on in-ear headphones because they get uncomfortable but the aren't too bad. Comes with 3 different sizes of inserts. Comes with a somewhat short cord but does also includes a soft case and an extension cord. Copper accents. Look good, sound good, great price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great sound! Saturday, September 13, 2008 Channing from Knoxville, TN
Really nice sound with these ear buds. Not too much bass as with another pair I own. I really like the 3 different sizes of ear buds that come with it. For me, the medium sized ones block out virtually all outside noise. I only paid about 20 bucks for mine, so I couldn't be more satisfied. Was this review helpful?
