5 of 5 Canon Canonscan LIDE 600F Scanner Flatbed Tuesday, July 29, 2008 wiz from Eden Prairie, MN
I needed a new scanner to upload photos to Facebook, my old one was slow and bulky. I researched different scanners, and this one stood out. Checked prices and Buy.com was the best.
I absolutely love it, works fast, easy to use. The usb hookup enabled me to plug in to my laptop. This was a great buy and a great scanner for the bucks. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good and versatile scanner Tuesday, December 11, 2007 A Customer from Va Beach, VA
excellent, versatile, easy to use and quick scanner - good value. Lacks ADF but for low to medium volume scanning work it is a good buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great price, EZ 2 use Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Aliso Viejo, CA
I bought this scanner for my wife to play with. She's not a hardcore PC user but she has done amazing things with this little gem. Within 24 hrs of getting this, she'd scanned, converted to B&W and printed an enterire wall's worth of family photos. The software is excellent and very easy to use. With the added OCR, its an added bonus. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Little Scanner Friday, June 29, 2007 Designer from Tucson AZ
I was looking for a small sized scanner to travel with. I use a Canoscan 8400F when home and needed to be able to work away from home with a more portable device. This scanner is a tad noisier, but scans just fine with excellent qualilty, thus suiting my needs. I have not tried the negative scanner, and have no need of a slide scanner while traveling. The size is compact and I like that it sits up on it's side, allowing me to keep it close while I am working. I appreciate that it does not need a power supply just power from the computer. All in all, this scanner does a great job. The only negative is that I cannot find a suitable small padded case for it as it is just a hair bigger than a 17" laptop. Canon, as always, is on the right track in this area. I recommend this scanner. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Piece of Equipment Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from West Hollywood, CA
I find this item to be easy to use and very useful. I do not own any Adobe software or have the capability to make PDF documents, so I find the scan to PDF capability very handy. I also feel very secure with this ability in that someone can not go and alter our documents when I would send things in Word format. It is easy to use and the quality of picture is the best I have yet seen from a scanner.
I are pleased with this purchase and find it one of the best purchases made for this company. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Outstanding performance Monday, March 19, 2007 Willie Irie from New York, NY
Received the scanner 3 days after I placed the order. Got free shipping also. This scanner is a marvel. On an ultra sharp monitor, I could not believed my eyes. The scanned photographs looked like HDTV. And the fact that it gets its power from the USB cable is a plus for those who travel a lot.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. Was this review helpful?

It was a little bit expensive, but it can scan with great detail. I really like the scanner, but the Negative film part of the scanner is ok, it scans beautiful pictures. The thing is that one it doesn't scan slides, second it takes a little time, third many time is fails to find the film or misses 1 or 2 out of the 6 possible scans. In overall the size, style, weight, quality are outstanding, the quality is so good, that if you scan a picture without a superfine texture it will scan the texture, I mean I can see in detail every printer Pica dot on the scan when I zoom in. It is pretty amazing. I can't wait to scan a dollar bill. Was this review helpful?

For someone that needs convenience, decent speed and compactness, the LIDE 600F is great. I have chronic fatigue that has me reclining on the couch to do my computer work. The 600F sits on its side right under the coffee table, close at hand. Now, emailing, copying and faxing don't require a run to the HP multifunction. The function buttons are very usable because the driver is capable. While some may complain about the software, the driver, in my opinion, is much more capable and convenient than what I've had to tussle with (HP). Okay... that's not saying much, but all I know is that I now have a scanner that does everthing I need and in a great looking & slim package. Was this review helpful?
