Reporter RWA300R The Reporter Wireless Alert System. - RWA-300R

Works very consistently so far. Need to make sure the sensor is "tightly" anchored in case it is bumped or wind shifts it. Would like it to have a volume control on the beeper!

I was attracted to the Chamberlain product name because I have had excellent luck with their garage door openers. I find the base unit of this motion detector and the two extra detectors I purchased to be less than adequate. The first transmitter unit, which came with the base station, was placed about 50 feet from the base unit outside the house and worked for a short while, then stopped (within a week of buying it). One of the extra units purchased works fine (40 feet from the unit); and the third unit was placed around a corner 75 feet from the base and didn't work at all. I expected better since the product literature promised that the units would work up to a thousand feet away.

We live in a rural area with a long driveway and have been looking for a reliable alert system for some time. Based on the reviews, this product sounded like a good solution. So far, the results have been disappointing. After relocating the sending unit three times, I have yet to find a spot that gives consistent results. The same vehicle might trigger the alarm one day and not the next. I'm hoping that further tweaking of location may solve the problem otherwise this product was a waste of money and time.

This item does not preform as well as it should for the price. I bought it for security purposes so we will know when someone is driving onto our property. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I am dissappointed that it does not work as well as a less expensive model that my sister bought!

I think this product is great. I am so glad I purchased it. Now whenever someone walk or drive in to my driveway I know in advance that they are out there.

I just installed the Reporter RWA and the PIR2-300R, very similar to how the instructions said to. I set both switches to the longest range and most sensitive. In order for the motion sensor to go off, I had to walk within 10-12 feet of the sensor. It claims to have up to a 30 foot range. This device is now worthless for me because of how far back (16 feet) I have to mount the sensor to detect car movement. Hopefully I can get my money back.

Works great. It's nice to know when someone pulls onto your driveway before they come to the door. You can connect external devices to the receiver. I bought a cheap wireless door bell and wired the push button to the receiver so I can have it alert me when I'am in an other part of the house. You can add up to 4 transmitters to it. Each with it's own signal. Buy.com had the best price. Going to buy extra transmitters for the back of the house. So far I've had no false signals.

Works just as the advertisement said it would and I am throughly happy with the Reporter Wireless Alert System. I have installed it at our other house across the street from where I live and it works just as described. Easy set up!

Works like a charm. We just can't tell if it's a deer or a car coming up the drive, but we always know something's there.

It's a great little device but it does not pickup the 30' range. I think it only picks up about 15-20'. Other than that it works great. I would definitely recommend it.

We love the Reporter. We use it for our drive thru business and it works very good. It is wireless and very easy to install. Great prices. The lowest we have found and quick mailing. We recommended to our friends.

We have been broken into 3 times before I found this product and it was the best investment I have made. Buy.com was the cheapest as far as price goes and it was shipped to me immediately, which was great. We have had a broke in problem in our neighborhood since mid-Nov. and we can't seem to get the police dept to help us, so you have to do what you can to protect your family and your property. Last night at about 3am the receiver went off with 2 beeps and my husband and I were up out of the bed and out the front door. I saw the person, but my husband was unable to catch him. I would definitely recommend this product and I am going to purchase some more sensors.

I just ordered a second unit, I have it aimed at my driveway were I park my work truck full of expensive tools, along with some dummy cameras and a real one I can effectively monitor every movement in the protected area. The neighbors hav had their cars broken into and one stolen just a few doors down so I hav ordered a second unit as a back up. the batteries seem to last forever, it had been over a year and a half and it was still working great but I changed them anyway. Animals dont seem to set it off, the cats will set off my flood lights and the motion sensing camera but the reporter only sounds off when a person or vehicle crosed its beam. I reccomend it, the stucco walls dont stop the signal at all, I have mine at about a 100' in a back bedroom and its a loud buzzer, the paper girl always sets it off, and the mail man, and visitors and a few times, the bad guys intent on theivery. But they havnt been back.
